   While we support writers at all stages, we expect dedication to helping us refine their work. Manuscripts or ideas should show strong storytelling potential, whether in memoir, nonfiction, or other genres.
3. Alignment with MHP Values
   We do not accept stories that promote harmful stereotypes, misinformation, or content that does not align with our ethos of cultural sensitivity and meaningful engagement.

While we are selective, we are also collaborative—if a manuscript shows promise but needs development, we may offer guidance on improvements.

No. Our founder, Monika Ribeiro, is a certified copy editor and proofreader with over a decade of writing experience. She was publishing books before large language models became publicly available.

All our books are written and edited by real people. Each story is rooted in lived experience, real culture, and genuine creativity. Our lead and supporting editors together bring decades of professional expertise to our editorial process.

That said, we occasionally use LLMs (large language models) to support parts of the editorial process, such as research, light editing, or proofreading, particularly because we adapt books for readers in different English-speaking markets (British, American, and Canadian).

These tools help us work more efficiently; however, all LLM-assisted research, edits, and suggestions are cross-checked and approved by people. All final proofreading and editorial decisions are made by human experts as well.
